Fish attracting structures are the best places to begin drifting for redfish and speckled trout, as Captain Cody Maddox tells us. Maddox tends to do his drifting in the vicinity of the upper West Bay's shell bottoms with their holes and drops.

"When I talk about fish holes in the shell, I'm talking about drifting an area of about seven feet which has a shallow area around it, usually about three feet. Shell humps and reef points are also great places for drifting with brown lures," says Maddox.

For his fall drift fishing, Maddox favors ? - 1/8 ounce riggings with soft plastic. When fishing deeper water, he tends to switch to a 3/8 oz head instead. A brown lures fan, Maddox says that he gets the best results with limetreuse, chartreuse and plum as well as with morning glory.

"As far as fall fishing tips go, I'd suggest working your bait really fast over the bottom and then letting it sit for couple of seconds. If that doesn't work for you, then try slowing it a little just a bit off of the shell tip; I usually use a weedless hook setup for this. Sometimes the smallest change makes a big difference in your results," says Maddox.

Bastrop fishing guide, Captain Randall Groves prefers the fall season to drift fish than any other season. "It is all about working water streaks up here on the upper coast," states Groves. "When it gets really cold and the water gets clear, I do much better fishing muddy streaks rather than the clear water."

Groves likes to drift in deep shell areas along with the muddy waters of bayous and creeks. "I do a lot of drifting in deep shell in the fall, but once the wind picks up, I tend to do best in the creeks and bayous instead."

One of Groves' fishing tips is to focus on retrieval. "A lot of people will tell you to fish slow with soft plastics in cold weather, but I haven't found that to be true at all." Instead of what he calls a "hungry" bite, Groves looks for what he terms a "reactionary" bite. "Slowing down can work, but I get plenty of bites in cold water working my lures fast."

"I use ? and 3/8 oz lead heads with my soft plastics and use a Laguna Texas Wader III or another whippy rod to get my lures through water column with ease," says Groves.

Captain Dwayne Newburn is a Matagorda Bay guide who says the best fishing tips for fall drifting have to do with your motor. "I use a trolling motor for fall drifting. You'll find yourself fishing around groups of birds; and your trolling motor can actually be your best friend in this situation." Newburn refers of course to the phenomena of gulls and other birds feeding on swarms of bait fish who swim to the shallows to avoid the speckled trout and redfish found feeding below.

Captain Newburn is also a deep shell autumn angler, adding that he prefers to hit the dips and indentations of shell pads when drift fishing in the fall.

"When drifting, I do well with DOA Shrimp and Cajun Thunder Popping Corks. I'm also a fan of Norton Sand Eel Jr. with laguna shrimp and Saltwater Assassins with new penny and native shrimp," says Newburn, who prefers 1/8 oz jig heads with his soft plastic brown lures in shallow water and ? oz heads in deeper waters.

Captain Danny Neu, a Lower Laguna Madre guide is an avid autumn fisher. "It's one of my favorite times to fish, especially for large speckled trout. The bait fish head out of the bays and there aren't as many of them around, so you've got to hug the shoreline for miles sometimes, but when you come on a cluster of them, you know for sure that you've got trout and redfish right there," say s Neu.

On a normal day of drift fishing in fall, Neu typically spends the morning hours looks for bait activity in deeper water. "In colder water temperatures, I'll start drifts in deeper water before moving to shallower areas when the sun beams overhead and warms the shallows."

"When it comes to lures for cold weather, I always go for topwater plugs. In fall I can use these all day for redfish and trout; they just work, plain and simple," says Neu.

"When I'm drifting in the lower coast area, I go with smaller plugs like the Super Spook Jr. I like to have a rod rigged with a red and white soft plastic and another with a Super Spook Jr.," says Captain Neu.

The classic question. Tony Horton and his vaunted P90X system, or Shaun T and his truly daunting INSANITY workout? Both are touted as super intense, only for conditioned athletes. Both are guaranteed to give you startling results if you follow their guidelines closely. But how to choose? Do you go for Tony Hortons 90 day total body transformation, or Shaun Ts 60 day cardio madness? Is one of them simply better than the other? The answer, as you might have had a sneaking suspicion, is that it totally depends on your own fitness goals. In this article well take a look at what each program provides, and see which style of exercise suits your own personalized needs. Because while each is truly a challenging workout, theyre tough for their own particular reasons, and its important to know why before making a choice.

Lets start the argument from the beginning. Before looking at both the products, you need to think a little about yourself. What do you really want to accomplish from those products? What do you think are your fitness goals? Is your primary goal related to losing weight, or bulking up with some muscle? Do you enjoy extreme cardio, or simply hate it? Shaun T doesnt want you to cruise through his workout at 65% effort, but rather 85% +. When exercising this hard you wont be getting enough oxygen to comfortably break down fat for energy as you would over the course of a 45 minute leisurely jog"youre forced to break down your own body tissue to keep going once youve exhausted your supply of blood sugar. Then, over the course of the rest of the day and that night your body will repair itself, resulting in more lean muscle tissue, greater health and less weight. But its hard. For this to work, you need to operate at 85% + effort level, which few people can do for more than six minutes. Shaun T will ask you to do so for thirty minutes to an hour. Can you handle that kind of cardio?

Conversely, Tony Hortons P90X will challenge you in terms of strength training. While Tonys workout includes cardio and plyometrics (jump based routines), there is a strong focus on weight resistance training, from pull ups to free weights. Youll be breaking down the muscle tissue in the classic manner, which will not only help burn fat but result in muscle growth. You will not only fitter but stronger, and your appearance at the end of it will reflect that.

Finally you have to think about the time consideration. INSANITY takes around 60 days to have full-effect. P90X, on the other hand, takes around 90 days. How much are you willing to commit to one of these programs? Are you willing to go at it for the long haul, or do you want a shorter exercise period?

Extreme cardio versus strength training. Theres plenty of overlap, with both generating extreme body transformations if done correctly, but in the end its a matter of style and taste. Do you want to bulk up some while shedding weight and developing athletic potential? Then P90X is for you. Do you want to burn fat so fast it melts right off you, leaving you leaner and ripped as a result of tons of sweat drenching exercises? Then Shaun Ts INSANITY is just right for you. But remember: the most important part of this decision is not only knowing your own fitness goals, but undertaking either of these at-home workouts with utter dedication and awareness of your own bodys limits. If you know how to play Texas Hold Em, you have a better grasp of what is going on when the players are betting because you can see what the hole cards are held by each player and the MC of the tournament usually keeps you abreast of the play.

So let's check out just how the play sequences work and what exactly happens during a poker game. First, you have the dealer (he has a dealer button in front of him showing the world who the dealer is for that particular hand---and the button moves clockwise around the table so there is a new dealer for each new hand. The first thing that happens is that the enforced bets are called for and placed in the pot. These bets are referred to as blinds or antes. The first blind is place by the first player to the left of the dealer and this is the small blind. The next player to the dealer's left places the next blind bet which is called the big blind----and in most games, the small blind is about of the big blind. Now the actual deal starts when the dealer doles out two cards face down to each player----no one but you can see your 2 cards and you keep them hidden throughout the game---these are the hole cards. This is where knowing how to play Texas Hold Em is a must, because the betting starts after the 2 hole cards are dealt, and you must decide not only if you are going to stay in the game, but how much you are going to bet at this point. The player to the left of the big blind starts the betting and he will fold, or check or raise or call depending on his hand, and then everyone else in order bets. Now, the dealer will deal out 3 cards onto the table top face up so everyone can see them and these are the community cards (available for everyone to use in their betting and hand formation strategy) and are called the "flop". Now another round of betting starting with the player to the left of the dealer ensues, and after this betting round, the dealer places another community card face up on the table---this is the "turn". Now, with the 4 community cards showing and your 2 hole cards, you have to make the decision if you can make a decent 5 card combo from these cards, or should you throw in your cards and fold.

After this round of betting, the dealer now places the 5th community card on the table for all players to see and use and this card is called the "river". It is now time for the final round of betting where all players who are still in the game must again decide if they have a fighting chance against the other players with the 5 cards showing on the table and their hole cards----every player is making the same decision. Of course, there can always be someone who has next to nothing as far as a betting hand goes but he wants to make everyone else think he does, so he will "bluff" in his betting and you must figure out with what the other players have bet, and what you are holding, as to whether every bet is legitimate or is someone just bluffing to try to win the pot with a nothing hand. You must always have your antennae out after you learn how to play Texas Hold Em poker, because bluffing by one or more players is a very common occurrence and you must include that fact into your strategy for your own possible win.

After this round of betting, all players that are still in the game (have not yet folded their cards) must show their hands including their hole cards, and the best 5 card hand combination wins the pot. If there is more than one player with the same identical hand, then the players split the pot----also, if the community cards happen to be the best combination for everyone left around the table, then all players left sitting must split the pot. Now the dealer button moves clockwise to the next person at the table, and he becomes the dealer for the next hand.

Learning how to play Texas Hold Em poker can be a rewarding experience and one that is exciting and a lot of fun as well. As with any game worth its salt, it has all kinds of tricks and turns and quirky little plays that you must be aware of every time you play, but when you start getting involved with it and play on a regular basis, you will soon see why Texas Hold Em is the world's most popular form of poker.

What Is The Pob Hairstyle and How You Can Style It

Anyone that knows anything about fashion has to remember that famous hairstyle that Posh paraded around not all that long ago. It was dubbed the ?Pob?. It wasn?t created by some new startling technique it was simple a combination of an undercut combined with the old standby ?the Bob?. It is simple enough that any Professional hairstylist can easily do it. Here?s a step-by-step overview to create the Pob.

Step One Create quadrant sections by making a center part from front to back. You now have two sections, which you are going to part into four sections. Section from the top of the crown to the back of ear and do the same for the other side.

Step Two: The back sections are in line for the first work. If you feel in the center back of the head, you will feel the occipital bone. From this point, take a diagonal section from the part to the bottom of the ear at the back. Repeat for other side and clip the hair so it doesn?t interfere with what you are doing. Now you will have what looks like an inverted ?V? section. Perform a uniform cut on this section, but strive to keep it soft and feather like, as this is the undercut. What you have just accomplished here if done correctly is to remove the heavy bulky hair from underneath. It stands alone from the rest of the cut.

Step Three: You have completed the undercut, so now you must continue cutting the rest of the hair using the graduated bob techniques. In this case, though there should be an increase in the side areas of length. You want to texture the back hair so it fits in well with the overall cut and this is best done by thinning out the weight of the hair ends. Create this look from the crown layers to the outline, which is longer. This section is in front of the ears. Don?t be carried away by over cutting the weight of the outline, otherwise, you would not have the longer hair requirement needed in front of the ears. This is what gives the style its character. You can be versatile with the way you shape the fringe.

Now in case you don?t remember or are not very familiar with the graduated bob it used to be called the Mary Quant look. That was before Victoria Beckham re invented it to combine this cut with the undercut which turned out to be the Pob.

The graduation technique used for this cut can subtly create a lift to the outlines or you can even be creative with the shape by a layered cut. Looking back into the late 70?s to early 80?s you will see that some of the pop groups who sported this look had the shape of the outline to the longer layers.

It is not difficult to create the graduated bob. Section the hair into four just as you did in step one above. Now starting on the front side, you want to cut an outline of about one inch from the bottom of the ear. Attempt to closely cut to the head. Staying on that same section, grasp the hair approx one inch from the head and cut off an inch from the same outline.

Comb down the next section and grasp 1 ? inches from the head using the previous section for a guideline cut on the underneath line. Continue to work up the head section by section ensure you increase your space when you work on the side of the head. Repeat all of these steps for the back of the head.
