A Sampling Of Useful Hollywood Movie Synopses To Check Out

By Raymond Jordan

Until recently, if you wanted to watch a movie, a trip to a video store like blockbuster was your only option. As technologies have advanced, downloading dvds off movie download sites is becoming very common. Following is a list of a few movies that you can get using a movie download site.

A Few Good Men: Two Marines are being held responsible for the death of a fellow marine. They claim they were ordered to punish private Santiago, and his death was not intended. Lt. Daniel Kaffee will try to save the marines and get to the bottom of the case.

Believe in Me: Donovan moves to a tiny Oklahoma town in 1964 to take a teaching job, although when he arrives he learns he's been assigned to coach the girls basketball team. What's more, the girls have no self respect and little help from the school. Genuine heartland tale ascends above its recognizable underdog recipe. Donovan and Mathis as his supportive spouse are first rate. Cast includes Jeffrey Donovan, Samantha Mathis, Bruce Dem, Bob Gunton, Heather Matarazzo, Alicia Lagano, and Chris Ellis. (108 minutes, 2007)

Bullet in the Head: Extreme, highly charged tale of 3 buddies who leave Hong Kong to go to war torn 1967 Vietnam and are drawn into a whirlwind of tough situations that tests their friendship. A film spiritual and over wrought with action footage and altercations that are as daring as anything that Woo has tried onscreen. Cast includes Tony Leung, Jacky Cheung, Waise Lee, Simon Yam, Fennie Yeon, and Yolinda Yan. (136 minutes, 1990)

House Springs: Having just been ditched by his fiance Driver, British actor Firth heads to the U.S. and falls for Graham. Then, wouldn't you know it, Minnie shows up. There are good acting jobs from everyone, although not enough chuckles for a romantic comedy. The film is based on the novel New Cardiff by Charles Webb. Cast includes Colin Firth, Heather Graham, Minnie Driver, Mary Steenburgen, Oliver Platt, and. (92 minutes, 2003)

Buffalo Soldiers: In 1989, the peacetime U.S. Army stationed in Germany is largely manned by men who had an option of penitentiary or time in the service. One of them (Phoenix) is a salesperson who wheels and deals, Bilko-like, under the nose of his naive commander (Harris) till a new top sergeant shows up (Glenn) who's decided to clean things up. Cast includes Joaquin Phoenix, Ed Harris, Scott Glenn, Anna Paquin, Elizabeth McGovern, Michael Pena, Leon Robinson, Gabriel Mann, and Dean Stockwell. (98 minutes, 2003)

The Music of Chance: A thriller in regards to telepathic, suicidal Ivanek, powerless to command his powers, who moves his bad dreams to psychiatrist Harrold and causes chaos in a clinic. Cast includes James Spader, Mandy Roger Orristian, Kathryn Harrold, Zeljko I vanek, Shirley Horseman, and Harry Ditson. (98 minutes, 1993)

The Incredible Gentleman: A well known and beloved Television megastar dies and Ferrer disposes his commemoratory show, only to find the megastar was a disgraceful fake. Al Morgan adjusted Morgan's thinly veiled novel in regards to Arthur Godfrey. Cast includes Jose Ferrer, Dean Jagger, Keenan Wynn, Julie London, Jim Backus, and Ed Wynn. (92 minutes, 1956)

A Good Woman: Strange rendition of Oscar Wilde's Woman Windermere's Fan, which has been filmed a few times over the years, set in Italy instead of England and updated from the 1890s to the 1930s. A number of Wilde's British characters now are Americans. Cast includes Helen Seek, Scarlett Johansson, Milena Vukotic, Stephen Campbell Moore, Mark Umbers, Tom Wilkinson, and Diana Hardcastle. (93 minutes, 2005)

Richard Pryor Live on the Sunset Strip: Pryor on Africa, sex, lawyers, his spouse, sex, Italian mobsters, more sex, and freebasing. Some of it's ludicrous, some isn't, however the audience is always shown tripled over with laughter. (82 minutes, 1982)

If you're looking for downloads, type in "Watch A Movie Online" to a search engine, see if you find something good. If that one doesn't work try another one. "Online Movie Rental" would be worth a try.
