It wasn't that long ago that a trip to the corner video shop was the most convenient way to get a movie. High speed internet access has now made it possible to download movies right off a movie download site. Here are some examples of movies you can acquire through a movie download site.
Straight Time: Hoffman knocks heads with greasy parole officer Walsh following his discharge from penitentiary and starts a downward skid. The Abdication: A slow pace documentary-drama of that tells the story of Sweden's Queen Christina who leaves her thrown and converts to Catholicism. The man sent to test her loyalty to the church becomes the man she falls in love with. Peter Finch, Cyril Cusack, Paul Rogers, and Michael Dunn star. (1974 Drama-History)
Number One with a Bullet: Carradine and Williams do well in this somewhat normal action movie where we have aggressive investigators out to dethrone a drug kingpin. Cast includes Robert Carradine, Billy Dee Williams, Valerie Bertinelli, Peter Graves, Doris Roberts, and Bobby DiCicco. (101 minutes, 1987)
An Innocent Man: Jimmie Rainwood had his life turned upside down. Two corrupt cops break in to his house suspecting to find drugs. They have the wrong address. To cover their tracks they plant evidence, and have him convicted. Three years later he is release from prison, and sets out to prove his innocence.
Shooter: Retired Marine Corp Sniper Bob Lee Swagger is asked to come to Washington, to help track another sniper that will try to kill the President. What happens to him next is a total shock. The same US government people that he is helping are actually setting him up to take the fall for the assassination. He somehow escapes when he is shot, and is now on the run. He is also ready to fight back.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Outrageously naughty film spoof, spiced with sex, and rock music, in regards to a un-crooked couple, Janet and Brad Sarandon, and Bostwick are stranded in an old gloomy home full of weirdos from Transylvania Music and words by O'Brien; melodies contain "Time Warp, and "Crazy and Wild Thing'. Cast includes Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, Richard O'Brien, Jonathan Adams, and Meatloaf. (95 minutes, 1975)
South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut: Our dynamic four are in top form in the first feature length film of the TV series. There is a new movie at the theater, a Terrence and Phillips film, and the boys are off to see it. When they arrive at the theater they can't get in because of the R rating. They overcome this obstacle by paying off a street drunk to get the tickets for them. This is the boy's first real intense introduction to foul language. They leave the movie fully trained in the new words, and use them whenever they can. This leads to outrage from the parents. Since Terrence and Phillip are Canadian, this ends with the US and Canada going to war.
Cry of Battle: Choppy action movie set in the Philippines with MacArthur as child of prosperous businessman who joins sectarian cause finding romance and sense of maturation. Cast includes Van Heflin, Rita Moreno, James MacArthur, and Leopoldo Salcedo. (99 minutes, 1963)
Communion: Mental thriller with Walken well cast as author Whitley Strieber, who finds himself visited by odd beings. Does he need a psychiatrist or an exorcist? A tad long in the tooth and the dramatic scenes between Walken and spouse Crouse don't really work. The movie still has some good moments. Cast includes Christopher Walken, Lindsay Crouse, Frances Sternhagen, Andreas Katsulas, Terri Hanauer, Joel Carlson, and Basil Hoffman. (107 minutes, 1977)
