On Golden Pond: Fonda, in his last film, is no less than radiant as crochety retired professor Norman Thayer, Jr., furious at being 80 years old and frightened of losing his mind. Hepburn is fine as his committed, all knowing spouse who shares his summers at Maine lakefront home. Jane is his disassociated daughter. Little Shop of Horrors: Extremely amusing black comedy musical in reference to a nebbish (played to excellence by Moranis) whose "abnormal" new plant brings him excellent fortune-however turns into a Frankentein. Greene (replicating her level role) is a pleasure as his squeaky voiced heartthrob, Martin humorous as her macho boyfriend. Cast includes Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Vincent Gardenia, Steve Martin, James Belushi, John Candy, Christopher Visitor, Bill Murray, and the voice of Levi Stubbs. (88 minutes, 1986)

The Red Violin: Multi-episode film follows the destiny of a hexed violin from 17th-century Italy to 18th century Vienna, 19th century England, 20th-century China and present day Montreal. The tales are mainly downbeat and or aggravating, and the finish up part with appraiser Jackson is difficult to swallow. Colorful locales and enthralling premises sustain limited interest all the way through. Cast includes Carlo Cecchi, Irene Grazioli, Jean-Luc Bideau, Jason Flemyng, Greta Scacchi, Sylvia Chang, Samuel L. Jackson, Colm Feore, Monique Mercure, Don McKellar, and Sandra Oh. (131 minutes, 1998)

The Fox: Pleasantly created story of lesbians Dennis and Heywood, and what occurs while intruder Dullea arrives amid them. The movie was filmed in Canada. Cast includes Sandy Dennis, Keir Dullea, Anne Heywood, and Glyn Morris. (110 minutes, 1968)

The Eiger Sanction: Pseudo James Bond misfire, often accidentally ludicrous. Exhilarating mountain climbing scenes don't make up for films numerous defects and ungodly magnitude. Jack Cassidy as gay, dangerous snoop gives the only artistic performing. Cast includes Clint Eastwood, George Kennedy, Vonetta McGee, Jack Cassidy, Thayer David, Heidi Bruhl, Reiner Schoene, and Brenda Venus. (128 minutes, 1975)

Spellbound: This is a wonderful documentary that follows 8 extremely variant youthful contestants who partake in the 1999 Nationwide Spelling Bee. Ths film is an immeasurably amusing and often pointed assessment of notions in reference to prosperity and the American fantasy, with the very last spelling bee as fascinating as anything to be discovered in a fiction film. (97 minutes, 2003)

The House of Yes: On a stormy day in 1983, a youthful gentleman brings his fiancee home to meet his broken Washington, D.C, family, containing his demented twin sis, Jackie-O, whose fantasies in Jacqueline Kennedy have lengthened to the point ofreinacting the JFK assassination-with live bullets. Well made black comedy, based on the stage production by Wendy MacLeod. Cast includes Parker Posey, Josh Harnilton, Tori Spelling, Freddie Prinze, Jr., Genevieve Bujold, and Rachael Leigh Cook. (90 minutes, 1997)

La Prisonuiere: From the head of Diabolique comes this ambiguous, bewildered study of afemale addicted to a photographer of sadomasochism. This film is truly a remarkably piece of art. Cast includes Laurent Terzieff, Bernard Fresson, Elsabeth Wiener, Dany Carrel, Dario Moreno, and Daniel Riviere. (104 minutes, 1959)

Alias Jesse James: One of Wish's funniest has him an inusurance sales associate out West, incorrect for a sharpshooter. Fleming is a pleasant Western belle, and the 2 do a cute melody together. Cast includes Bob Wish, Rhonda Fleming, Wendell Corey, Jim Davis, and Gloria Talbott. (92 minutes, 1959)
